Beyond Academics

Your child will have access to a broad range of extracurricular activities designed to educate and nurture them holistically. 
 
We offer a wide ranging programme of extracurricular activities including arts and sports for your child to participate in, before, during and after regular school hours.

Learning takes place everywhere. Your child will have the opportunity to take part in educational visits and trips to enhance their school life and learning experience in a well-planned and safe way.  School trips typically complement the curriculum and are designed to enhance your child’s learning. While some trips are local, others – particularly for older children – may be further afield and involve a residential stay.  Trips conducted by our school include sporting trips such as hiking vacations or outdoor adventurous pursuits  and educational trips to visit sites of cultural or historical significance, amongst others. At NES WORLD SCHOOL, Rajarhat, we also offer our parent community to interact and bond with the theme of ‘Mom and me’, where the child and the mother are invited to spend quality time away from work and school.

Safety And Wellbeing

The trips are well planned and take place at different intervals, keeping in view the holidays and exams. Each itinerary is curated by experts and ensures a strong learning outcome closely integrated into the curriculum. Your child’s safety and wellbeing always come first. Risk assessments are conducted for all trips, and you will always know who is responsible for your child’s care wherever they are. b. Technopreneurship



To understand the current and emerging technology trends, their impact on business & how technology will transform the future, our school hosted “Technopreneurship”. This was a successful event with some prominent personalities in attendance who delivered industry-led discussions. Events like Science Day excite our students as they love performing research and enjoy exploring more about the scientific concepts with the help of their teachers.  Performing their experiments practically to understand the theory is their favourite part in learning Science. Their self-confidence is boosted by presenting their own research and experiments on Science day and exhibitions which is appreciated and well received by guests and parents.

Our Physical Education curriculum provides opportunity for each student to:

Cultural Activities

Music, Dance, Theater, Visual Arts, and much more. Participation in cultural activities add an exciting dimension to the learning experience at NES WORLD SCHOOL, Rajarhat. Cultural activities also form an integral part of a student’s overall development in our school, where various activities are conducted from time to time. Teachers and staff work to offer a diverse range of programs that give every student a chance to get excited and get involved in order to pursue new interests.

 a. Music

We offer students a plethora of instruments and voice lessons where students are prepared by our excellent teachers to play varied instruments and sing. When our students reach a certain level of competence, we encourage participation in ensemble performances and our regular Music celebrations. Making music together is fun, satisfying and rewarding.

b. Theatre

We offer unique and fun-filled programmes towards acting lessons used around the world to help students develop confidence, creative thinking, public speaking skills, enhancing self-esteem, acting abilities, leadership and teamwork. Theatre art skills are taught to our students by our teachers during the cultural period.

c. Dance

Art forms such as western, folk and classical are taught to our students with an aim to not only teach dance, but to give confidence and a sense of achievement. Our focus for our students is to reach their full potential while they leave their classes feeling content and successful. We create a strong sense of community among our dancers and their families, and provide our students with a safe, fun and positive environment so our students can encourage, support, motivate and inspire each other.

d. Visual Arts


We offer students to learn art forms such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpting, ceramics, design, crafts etc. Visual Arts is one of the mandatory subjects of the arts education key learning area. It assists students in their acquisition of artistic and aesthetic experiences, knowledge, skills, values and attitude, all of which contribute to students’ whole-person development. The Art curriculum emphasizes the further development of the mind to which the visual arts can contribute.

Our collaborations with NGOs aim at building the spirit of community service in our students as a core integral value system inculcated in them strongly. We believe that it is a great way to help our students inculcate empathy, and grow up caring for others. Some of the initiatives from our school are Baby’s Day Out (visit to an orphanage), Swachh Bharat, Joy of Giving, Love in a box, Each One Teach One, etc.

b. Environmental Support

 

The current generation of young leaders care a lot about environmental protection, and we support and encourage our students in all their endeavours towards spreading awareness and making a difference in the world. With student-led drives like ‘say no to single use plastic’, ‘Peace walk’, Lake Cleaning, etc. help our students become the change leaders of tomorrow.

c. Fundraising initiatives

With our student-parent community so strong, we encourage our parents to champion our children to inculcate the habit of savings and inculcate its essence among children with initiatives like “Charity begins at home”– be it a reward or saved pennies, thereby fostering a tender human spirit that learns to help those in need.

d. Awareness And Donation Drives

Sharing is a great life skill to teach children. It helps to develop compassion and understanding of friends and those they come in contact with. From initiatives like donating essential materials, to drives like ‘Reduce Food Wastage’, ‘Camp Wellness’, ‘Plant a Tree’, our students are encouraged to empathise and spread awareness among the less privileged parts of our society to inculcate passion and empathy.  Our mission is to help others thrive. Our school has nurtured a close-knit community where our students, parents and teachers feel welcomed and involved. We also encourage our students to be active members of their local neighbourhoods to ensure that the whole community thrives.
